Medequip Supports Future Optometrists Through Student Equipment Donations
At Medequip, we believe that investing in the future of healthcare starts with supporting the students who will one day care for our communities.
This year, Medequip proudly donated five Keeler student equipment sets to bursary optometry students across three South African universities, helping provide the essential practical equipment needed throughout their studies and clinical training.
The initiative forms part of our ongoing commitment to healthcare education and supporting the next generation of eye care professionals in South Africa.
We were also honoured to partner with the UKZN Foundation during one of the official student handovers, where members of the Medequip team had the opportunity to personally meet and encourage some of the inspiring students receiving the bursaries.
Practical training is a vital part of becoming an optometrist, and access to the correct equipment can make a significant difference in building confidence, developing clinical skills, and ensuring students are fully prepared for their future careers.
The gratitude and feedback received from the students reminds us exactly why initiatives like this matter.
