1980 – 2003 | Foundations
Medequip was founded initially as Miba Snips by the late Geoff Bacon with a vision of supplying high-quality scissors to the Education Department. Later branching out into surgical instruments to hospitals and Government Tenders. After his passing in 2003, Quenton Greene assumed leadership with his team.
2004 – 2016 | Expansion
Medequip relocated to new premises in Gauteng, growing from small tenders to a trusted national supplier with global partnerships.
2017 – 2021 | Further expansion
Medequip soon outgrew their premises and moved into a larger facility. The portfolio grew even larger, partnering with leading international manufacturers, with the footprint expanding across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
2022 – Present | Future Focused
Expansion fuelled continued growth, culminating in the move to their new headquarters and logistics centre. Medequip continues to serve state and private healthcare providers nationwide with innovation, quality, and service.
